Choosing the best hosting service for your domain and website is an important decision for you to make.

There are several suppliers of website hosting to choose from, but I suggest you do have a look at what they have to offer in terms of price.  Another thing to keep in mind and check is whether you need to sign up for a year in advance – or even 2 years in advance to take advantage of their competitive pricing.

Your budget is one of the many options that will determine what you wish to spend for a hosting service.  It’s also important to remain ‘portable’,  that is if you decide you want to move from that supplier, how long are you locked in for before you can economically make that move?

Another thing to consider is how much space you may need.  Most of the reputable hosting providers (like Godaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator)  will give you more than sufficient space for your needs.  Just check when if you are considering a ‘backyarder’ or smaller hosting provider before you buy.

Do you have a domain?  Or will you be buying a domain at the time of hosting?  Some providers will offer one free domain with their hosting, but that will be for one year, and a higher fee will be charged for that domain when the year is up.  Now that’s not always a bad thing, but you should bear that in mind so you don’t get too big a surprise when the new bill comes in.

I just bought a domain for 2 years and saved heaps – an alternative provider was going to charge me the same for only 1 year – use this link to get the same deal:

I always advise my clients to stick with reputable companies because even though you think you are getting an amazing deal from elsewhere, these providers don’t always provide what they promised, and again you’re locked in for the 1 or 2 year term.

Some of these reputable Hosting Providers such as Godaddy, Bluehost and Hostgator are worth considering and they have good support along with competitive pricing – but remember it’s not always about the pricing – I always go for good support over price:

Now another thing to consider is the Control Panel that is supplied to you by the hosting provider.  The Control Panel – commonly known as the cPanel – this is where all of your work is done, and it should be easy to use.  Control Panels come in all shapes and sizes, some are a dream and some are a nightmare.  Most of the reputable providers will send you a unique login to your own Control Panel which will be jam-packed with everything you need to be in control of your hosting, website, emails and much much more.

All hosting providers have their pros and cons, but it’s worth having a look to see who you feel comfortable working with, is the cPanel easy to use, do you get good support and how economical are they.

Here is a list of some reputable hosting providers – Oh and I’ve given you the link to any deals or ‘special’s they are running at the moment.
