When you visit a library, you won’t see books in separate buildings by the date they were published? That would mean you would have to move from building to building to find the book you’re looking for.
Creating a Folder in your Media Library in WordPress where you can place all your media is a good idea. Then searching will be easy for you. Just use a keyword and the file you’re looking for will be presented to you.
Also keeping all of your images in a folder on your computer so they are easy to find is also a neat trick !
